READ THIS, LET IT SINK IN, THEN DECIDE
Joe is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood & always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"
He was a natural motivator.
If an employee was having a bad day, Joe was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.
Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up & ask him, "I don't get it
You can't be positive a person all of the time. How do you do it?"
He replied, "Each morning I wake up & say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or... You can choose to be in a bad mood.
I choose to be in a good mood.
Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.
Everytime someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or...I can point out the positive side of live!...I choose the positive side of life.
"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested.
"Yes, it is," he said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you reacto to situations. You choose how people affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life."
I reflected on what he said. Soon thereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often think about hime when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.
Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.
After 18 hours of surger & weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.
I saw him about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins...Wanna see my scars?"
I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.
"The first thing that went through my through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be daughter," he replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live."
"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.
He continued, "...the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER & I saw the expression on the faces of the doctors & nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I readm 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action".
"What did you do?" I asked.
"Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said Joe. "She asked if I was allergice to anything. "Yes, I replied. The doctors & nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath & yelled "Gravity".
Over their laughter, I told the, "I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."
He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude... I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.
Attitude, after all, is everything.
Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own". Matthew 6:34.
After all, today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.
You have two choices now...

FINDING ME
I was drowning. Sunk so low that any hope of happiness
seemed as far out of reach as the Northern Star.
I was lost. Had wandered to a place where I couldn't find myself
and had settled instead, on the path of least resistance.
I found myself in love.
Finding joy in the smallest of things…
In the sound of a bird singing,
In the gentle falling rain…
And as the wind whispered "happiness",
I found myself living
for the first time in years.
Just as I'd begun to think this dream could be reality...
I found myself alone. Abandoned so sweetly,
yet I still feel the bitter sting of tears.
I look at my reflection and see a defeated woman,
all used up and abused and so very stupid
that I just want to die.
I found myself giving up when something within me
said, "No". One, single spark of defiance
was bigger than the ocean that sought to drown me.
Love may have quickened me, but loss has made me strong.
The only power he has over me is that, that I choose to give him.
He may have swept me off my feet but I have made both the choice
and the effort to stand tall.
I will love again because I choose to "live" whatever the cost.
For to give up on love would be more destructive
than anything I've been through so far.
So here I go again...reaching for a star.

A biker was riding along a California beach when

The Lord said, "Your request is materialistic, think of the
enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The
supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The
concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several
natural resources. I can do it, but it i s hard for me to justify
your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and
think of something that would honor and glorify me."
The biker thought about it for a long time. Finally he said,
"Lord, I wish that I could understand my wife. I want to know
how she feels inside, what she's thinking when she gives me
the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she
says nothing's wrong, and how I can make a woman truly happy."
The Lord replied, "You want two lanes or four on that bridge?
Heaven's not a place that you go when you die.
It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive
Don't make someone your priority if your only a option to them

This is Priceless!

When I'm an old lady, I'll live with each kid, And bring so much happiness...just as they did. I want to pay back all the joy t hey've provided. Returning each deed! Oh, they'll be so excited! (When I'm an old lady and live with my kids) I'll write on the wall with reds, whites and blues, And I'll bounce on the furniture...wearing my shoes. I'll drink from the carton and then leave it out. I'll stuff all the toilets and oh, how they'll shout! (When I'm an old lady and live with my kids) When they're on the phone and just out of reach, I'll get into t hings like sugar and bleach. Oh, they'll snap their fingers and then shake their head, (When I'm an old lady and live with my kids) When they cook dinner and call me to eat, I'll not eat my green beans or salad ormeat, I'll gag on my okra, spill milk on the table, And when they get angry...I'll run...if I'm able! (When I'm an old lady and live with my kids) I'll sit close to the TV, through the channels I'll click, I'll cross both eyes just to see if they stick. I'll take off my socks and throw one away, And play in the mud 'til the end of the day! (When I'm an old lady and live with my kids) And later in bed, I'll lay back and sigh, I'll thank God in prayer and then close my eyes. My kids will look down with a smile slowly creeping, And say with a groan, "She's so sweet when she's sleeping!"

Watching my children laugh & smile on the amusement rides will always remain imprinted in my mind.
Today I am grateful for my childrens' smiles, warm tea with blackberry brandy & friends who say I deserve someone special because that is how special I am.

How many times I have thought of this:
After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of other companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to
share their available office space.
At a morning meeting, the head of
security told stories of why these people were alive......and all the stories were just:
The 'L I T T L E' things.
As you might know,the head of the company got in late that day because his son started kindergarden.
Another fellow was alive because it was his
turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't
go off in time.
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike
because of an auto accident.
One of them missed his bus.
One spilledfood on her clothes and had
to take time to change.
One's car wouldn't start.
One went back to answer the telephone.
One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready
as soon as he should have.
One couldn't get a taxi.
The one that struck me was the man who put on a
new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.
Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer aringing telephone ... all the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is exactly where I'm supposed to be at this very moment.
Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed,you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated; someone is watching over
you.
May that someone continue to bless you with all those annoying little things and may you remember their possible purpose.

Miracles happen every second of every day, but usually the only people who see them are the ones who believe in them. When you refuse a gift coming from the heart, you deny someone the joy of giving. All life is connected. When one part is damaged everything else is affected. When we share joy & happiness, we give two of the most powerful healing medicines in the world. No one‘s time is more or less valuable than yours. We all have the same number of hours in a day. You cannot always control the events in your life, but your free will lets you choose how you will react to those events. Freedom is artistic control of your thoughts, your feelings & your actions. Wisdom cannot be bought or sold, it cannot be given or taken. It can only be gained by experience. The price of knowledge is the responsibility to share it. If you draw your power from your possessions or from other people you may always be afraid that someone will rob you of your strength. But if you find your strength within yourself, you will have power that no one can ever take from you. When you give unselfishly you need not search for your reward. The act of giving is your reward, because in a world filled with ego problems, you have just become part of the solution. Anonymous kindness is powerful magic. When emotions control our lives we are slaves. When thoughts control our lives we are students. When spirit controls our liveswe are masters. Learn to trust your intuition. It is your spirit whispering directions in your ears. Three keys to open the door to enlightenment are practice, patience & perseverance. Practice is easiest. Patience is the most difficult. Perseverance is the most demanding. In a complex society it is easy to blame others for our problems & fail to see our own contribution to the difficulties we face. The same energy you spend criticizing or attacking others can be used to build what you envision. Genius does not spring from conformity. It is the product of courageous minds who dare to act out their most creative dreams regardless of what others think or say. Do not compare yourself with others. There will always be many ‘ahead‘ of you. There will always be many ‘behind‘ you. Some are rich & sad. Some are poor & happy. Some are healthy & complain. Some are crippled & grateful. Accept your role in life graciously. If you wish to change, do it without judging yourself by what others have done or will do. Choose your actions carefully. What you do right now is creating the future in your world. Think for your Self. Follow your Heart & you will know what to do. Life is a cycle & every part of the cycle is perfect in its own way. You have within you: The strength to overcome any obstacle that stands in your way; the courage to be true to yourself; the love to care for every living being; the wisdom to build a world without hunger, hatred, war, poverty, pollution or disease. You have within you the power to do what has never been done before
So I have decided to start a new journal for myself. One that reminds me to love myself; thoughts that go through my mind; poems, pictures, sayings & thoughts I have found along the way; & general questions I ask God all the time.
I reside in the Enchated Forest, the place you go in your most pleasant dreams. Close your eyes, and open your mind...Listen not with your ears, but with that deepest part of you, that's knows, without a dout,
That something more awaits
Deep within the enchanted forest, the flowers bloom, the sun shines and your heart soars
It is there...deep within the forest, that you can hear me...whispering softly to you.
From a place where there are no fears, no hatred, and no judgement, where touch welcomed and never rejected.
Where the eyes can speak volumes, with silent lips.
The land of Enchantment, is all that you desireit to be. What the heart wishes for, will turn to reality, to be touched and felt and loved.
The next time you close your eyes remember, let the soft whisper guide you to that place deep with in you, to that place of enchantment, where what you feel and what you dream, can be yours.
No one knows this place but you...and the Enchanted Whisper.
Perhaps it is not a series of unfortunate events, but the beginnings of a new journey..
